A roof survey from us is genuinely free, genuinely no-obligation, and genuinely useful. We get up on the roof (or use a drone where access is restricted), check the bits you can't see from the street, and email you a written quote you can take to other contractors if you want.

What we check (and what most 'free surveys' don't)
A real roof survey is more than glancing up from the pavement. We get to roof level and look at: tile/slate condition (slipped, cracked, frost-blown, lifting), ridge bedding (cracks, gaps, missing mortar), valleys (clear, lined, lead detail), chimney stacks (pointing, leadwork, flashing), gable verges (loose tiles, mortar erosion), and visible underlay condition from the eaves and loft.
If a previous 'free survey' from someone else didn't get on the roof, you haven't actually had a survey.
What you get from us
An emailed written quote with itemised work, materials named, and clear pricing. Photographs of anything specific we found. A genuine recommendation — repair, partial re-roof or full re-cover — with our honest reasoning. Time to think. We won't follow up with pressure calls.

Is the survey really free?+
Yes — across our standard North East patch (Newcastle, Sunderland, Gateshead, the Shields, Washington, Cramlington and surrounding). Further afield we may agree a small travel cost upfront.
How long does it take?+
On site usually 30–60 minutes for a typical domestic roof. The written quote and photos follow by email within a few working days.
Will I get pressured to sign on the day?+
No. We email a written quote and leave you to think. Our quotes stay open for at least 30 days.
