What we check (and what most 'free surveys' don't)
A real roof survey is more than glancing up from the pavement. We get to roof level and look at: tile/slate condition (slipped, cracked, frost-blown, lifting), ridge bedding (cracks, gaps, missing mortar), valleys (clear, lined, lead detail), chimney stacks (pointing, leadwork, flashing), gable verges (loose tiles, mortar erosion), and visible underlay condition from the eaves and loft.
If a previous 'free survey' from someone else didn't get on the roof, you haven't actually had a survey. If you're buying, selling or just worried, think of this as a proper roof inspection: the same roof-level checks, the same photographs, and a written report of what we found — free within our standard patch.
