Why bay roofs leak
A bay roof is small but the geometry is fiddly. Whether the top is flat or pitched, there are three or four flashing angles where it meets the wall, lead saddles on the corners, and pointing above the lot. Any one of them cracking or lifting is enough to let water in — and water rarely drips straight down. It tracks along the felt or timbers and shows up as a stain on the bay ceiling, sometimes feet away from the actual hole.
