What Should a Roofing Quote Include?
Most roofing disputes are not about workmanship, they are about scope that was never written down. A quote that fits on a compliments slip is not a quote, it is an invitation to argue later. Use this as a checklist against anything you are given, including ours.
- Named materials, not just tiles or felt
- Access method and who is paying for it
- Waste removal and tipping included or excluded
- Workmanship and manufacturer guarantees, stated separately
- Payment stages and what triggers each one
Scope written so it cannot be read two ways

Roofing quotes, common questions
Should I always get three quotes?+
Get at least two, and compare scope before price. Three quotes with different scopes are three different jobs, and the cheapest one is usually cheapest because it is doing less.
Is a verbal price ever acceptable?+
For a same day make safe where the roof is open and the priority is stopping water, we will tell you the attendance cost by phone and confirm it in writing after. For anything planned, get it in writing first.
How long should a quote stay valid?+
Ours hold for a stated period on the document because material prices move. If a quote has no expiry on it at all, ask, so you are not surprised when you accept it six months later.
