Storm Damage Checklist
After a storm: don't go on the roof. Photograph from ground level. Check the loft for daylight or wet underlay. Note the wind speed (Met Office records). Call a roofer for a make-safe and a report.

Most roof failures we attend could have been avoided by acting on the warning signs six months earlier. The cost of acting early is usually 10–20% of the cost of acting after the leak.
