Jarrow Loft Insulation Top-Up

Modern Building Regs specify 270mm loft insulation. Most homes we visit have 100–150mm — half what they should. A top-up during any roof works is trivially cheap and pays back in 2–3 winters of heating. We're regularly on roofs close to the A19, out around Bede Industrial Estate, through Primrose and Monkton.

  • Top-up to current 270mm standard
  • Cross-laid over existing insulation
  • Loft hatch and eaves detail respected
  • Ventilation preserved — no condensation risk
  • Ideal add-on during any pitched-roof works

Jarrow context

Jarrow is dominated by long terraced rows where one property's roof issue often signals what's coming for the neighbours. Re-pointing chimneys and re-bedding ridges accounts for most of the work we do here. Regular access via A19 and A185. We're often out around Bede Industrial Estate.

Housing stock we usually work on here

Long rows of ex-shipyard terraces, plus post-war social housing through Primrose and Monkton.
